The first written report dates back to 1234. The town is located at an altitude of 256 metres. Provision of Czech POINT services. In the town there is a Cistercian monastery Porta Coeli, a Neo-Renaissance town hall, originally Gothic parish church of St. Wenceslas and others.

The School Forest is a primary school project in which pupils learn in a real environment. Under the guidance of experts and teachers, pupils look after a part of the urban forest, learn manual work, forest management and develop a relationship with the place.

The unit ensures the protection of public order, receives notifications from the public and conducts investigations into offences and crimes committed in their area of jurisdiction.

The purpose of our association is to provide all-round support for the sustainable development of the area, especially through activities for the benefit of municipalities, associations of municipalities, non-profit organizations, small entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises, active individuals and other entities operating in the defined area.

The office provides construction and legal activities of the city. Decides on the designation of buildings with numbers, on the location of construction, on the change of land use, on the change of construction and on the change of the impact of construction on the use of land, on the division or consolidation of land and on the protection zone. It issues the approval of the building permit. Carries out inspections of buildings.

Kindergarten for 132 children with a dining room. We work according to the educational program of the kindergarten supporting health. We offer a healthy, balanced diet, drinking regime with regard to need, nature walks, excursions and tours. Fun and educational activities and joint parent-child events are organised for the children.

We operate a kindergarten with a canteen for 147 children. Qualified staff focuses on children's adaptation to a foreign environment, the acquisition of hygiene habits, developing independence, motor skills or healthy self-esteem. We offer extracurricular activities such as Christian education, salt cave or swimming.

The centre provides antenatal preparation, activities for parents with children from 4 months to 6 years, playroom, lectures and discussions, events for the public. We also run two children's groups, DS Jezírko and DS Potůček.
