A comprehensive eight-year grammar school with a capacity of one class in each year and a primary art school with branches in music, art and dance in the surrounding villages.

Arktur Primary School started its activities on 1 September 2022 in Šlapanice u Brna. We are a private school registered in the register of schools and educational institutions. We provide space and support for children in education from 1st to 9th grade, both in the form of day attendance and individual education.

The mission of the association is to develop and popularize the sport of fishing, to practice the law of fishing, to provide for the breeding, conservation and catching of fish, and to protect the environment. We manage the Roketnice off-trout fishery including the Ponětovice reservoir and the Žatčany fire reservoir. We breed pike and catfish. We organise fishing competitions.

The first written report dates back to 1235. The village has a museum, a primary and kindergarten, a library, and a sports complex. There is also a farmers' market.
