The Institute is devoted to research on fruit crops grown in the Czech Republic as cash crops. We also focus on the conservation of the gene pools of fruit crops, the study of the effect of rootstocks on grafted varieties, the development of methods of biological and integrated conservation of fruit trees and fruit planting projects.

The first written report dates back to 1260. The village is located at an altitude of 306 metres. Among the sights to see is the original Baroque chateau rebuilt in pseudo-Gothic and Art Nouveau style, the Mezihorské valley and the Holovouská lime tree. Provision of Czech POINT services.

We are engaged in the development of cultural and social life or the organization of educational and sporting activities in the micro-region.

The association has been involved in leisure activities for children continuously since 1995. For twenty years it has been trying to fill children's free time with sports and artistic clubs. It also organises events and seminars for the public.

Offering library services with a focus on specialist literature. We provide xerox copies of articles from professional journals, research service and more.

Operation of the physical education unit.

Primary school for 30 pupils with a day care and dining room. We offer alternative methods of teaching methods, effective activity-based learning, individual approaches, school garden, playground and forest at the school. We provide extra-curricular activities such as swimming and environmental courses and exchange visits.

Operation of the association of the tourist area Podzvicinsko. Providing contributions to the development of the Podkrkonoší region, especially in the field of tourism.

Providing book, CD and magazine loans for children and adults. We provide public and free internet access. We provide photocopying and printing services. Provision of Czech POINT services.

Kindergarten for 28 children.
