The first written record dates back to 1318. The village is situated at an altitude of 297 metres. There are 480 inhabitants. There is a library.

Small first grade school for 45 children. Kindergarten for 35 children. Organizing regular trips, competitions, visits to theatres.

Primary school for 27 pupils with a day care and dining room. We run clubs for English, flute, computer literacy, nature exploration or ceramics. We participate in School Milk, Earth Day or Fruit to Schools projects. We organise school nights, excursions or carnival parades.
