Operation of the volunteer fire brigade. The fire brigade protects the lives, health and property of citizens from fires, floods and other emergencies, and provides technical assistance.
The municipal police provide local public order matters. It also contributes to the protection and safety of persons and property and supervises the observance of the rules of civil coexistence.
The first written report dates back to 1241. The town is located at an altitude of 315 metres. Historical buildings include the Chapel of St. Wolfgang and the Zdislava Well.
Practical and special primary school for 62 pupils with a school day care and a canteen. The school is designed for pupils with intellectual disabilities, autism and combined disabilities. We offer a stimulating environment and individual approach to pupils. We incorporate projects, canister therapy, sign language, manual dexterity into the curriculum.
Holding services and spiritual gatherings in a church dating back to 1252. Originally a monastery, and after 1788 a parish church, the church was burned by the Hussites in 1425 and then replaced by a temporary wooden church. The construction of the present church was started in 1699 by František Antonín Berka of Dubá, the owner of the estate.
