The association exercises fishing law, ensures the breeding, protection and catching of fish, environmental protection, develops and popularizes the sport of fishing. We manage the trout grounds Černá Opava and Opava, where fishing is only allowed with artificial flies.
Development and preservation of cultural traditions of the city. Organizing educational, cultural and entertainment events for the public. We help to preserve local monuments and participate in the promotion of the natural and cultural values of Vrbno and its surroundings.
We run a mixed choir. Our repertoire is diverse, ranging from Renaissance polyphony to works by contemporary composers, including spirituals and arrangements of folk songs, not only Czech.
We run a primary art school specialising in music and art tuition. We teach percussion, electric keyboard, recorder, violin, guitar and accordion and more. We provide solo and choral singing lessons.
We run a primary school for 750 pupils with a dining room, a day care and a club. We have a school playground. We publish a school newsletter. We run science clubs, volleyball, floorball, chess, art, sewing machine and guitar clubs. We organize cultural and social events.
The congregation holds religious services and spiritual meetings. The focus of those attending is on revival and the Christian life - that is, how it is possible to have a vibrant, happy and satisfying relationship with God. We run a Sabbath School for adults and children.
Offering library services. Possibility to access the internet via WiFi connection. Offer interlibrary loan service, photocopying up to A3 size and document booking. We have both children's and adult literature available for loan.
Operation of a sports club. We organize regular training sessions full of games for children to gain agility and fitness. In winter we ski and from spring to autumn we do orienteering and outdoor games. We operate two ski lifts.
The unit ensures the protection of public order, receives notifications from the public and conducts investigations into offences and crimes committed in their area of jurisdiction.
