The first written report dates back to 1577. The village is situated at an altitude of 353 metres. There are 1943 inhabitants. Provision of Czech POINT services. In the village there is a library, Czech and Polish school, volunteer fire brigade.

The organisation brings together people with disabilities, especially physical disabilities. It defends the needs and interests of PWDs and the elderly. We offer professional social counselling. We provide swimming, exercise and rehabilitation for the disabled.

The congregation organises religious services and religious meetings. Offering social services. Aims to provide housing and services to socially disadvantaged people living in and around the village of Hrádek. We run a choir of around 30 members and perform in churches in the country and abroad. We organize Sunday services.
