The first written report dates back to 1368. The village is located at an altitude of 382 metres.

Primary school for 370 pupils with a day care centre and a school canteen. For the pupils we offer various interest groups art, drama, singing, board games, movement and ball games, programming, ceramics and cooking.

The municipal police ensures local public order matters, participates in the prevention of crime in the municipality, supervises the observance of generally binding ordinances and regulations of the municipality, contributes to the protection and safety of persons and property and supervises the observance of cleanliness in public spaces in the municipality.

We operate a preschool for 103 children and offer programs to develop art and music skills. A cafeteria is available. Preparation for primary school is provided for the children.

International educational movement for youth and children from 6 years old organizes meetings, expeditions, events and camps. The basic mission is to promote the development of young people's personality, their spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical abilities.

We run a modeling club for children and adults, focusing on boats, cars or planes. We also organize a hiking club or courses for skilled hands.

The association deals with the management and protection of nature and landscape in the Morava and Vlára river basins.

We run a nursery school with its own dining room and garden. Children are taught in 3 departments with a total capacity of 75 places. The location of the school has led us to develop a school curriculum focused on environmental activities.
