The first written report dates back to 1359. The village is situated at an altitude of 213 metres. There are 1691 inhabitants. There is an elementary and kindergarten, a municipal library. The village has a hunting association, a volunteer fire brigade and a volleyball club.
An international educational movement for youth and children aged 6 and up organizing meetings, expeditions, events and camps. The basic mission is to promote the personality development of young people, their spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical abilities.
Primary school for 230 pupils with a day care centre and a canteen. The capacity of the kindergarten is 60 pupils. School facilities include a pupil library, a training kitchen, a speech therapy room, a ceramics studio and a computer room.

Operation of the volunteer fire brigade. The fire brigade protects the lives, health and property of citizens from fires, floods and other emergencies, and provides technical assistance.
Kindergarten for 50 children with dining room and garden. School facilities include toys and didactic aids. There is space for drawing in the sand and for physical activities in inclement weather.
