We operate a municipal library. We have a reading room, online book catalogue and internet access. We lend educational literature, children's literature, poetry, fiction and magazines. We provide lending, bibliographic information and interlibrary loan services. We organize events for the public.

Care for disabled citizens and social protection of children. We deal with minority issues. We keep records of the city's property in the field of health and social affairs.

Operation of a kindergarten with a capacity of 75 children. The building houses a canteen, classrooms, games room, sauna.

We run a practical and special primary school for 75 pupils with a day care centre. We focus on pupils with mild and severe learning disabilities, children with autism and Down's syndrome. There are six classrooms and five specialist rooms, a library and a garden. We offer a ceramics club and speech therapy.
