Nearly 300 species and forms of ornamental trees are concentrated on an area of just under three hectares. There are oaks, beeches, cypresses, maples, pines, birches and limes. You will also find plants from southern Europe, Asia, the USA and Canada. Sale of annual plants.
A classical chateau with a natural landscape park of 21.5 hectares. The chateau park is one of the most valuable romantic landscape designs in the Czech Republic. Guided and self-guided tours are available, weddings can be arranged.
The garden is a collection of valuable collections of trees and an example of original garden architecture. The collections of the arboretum include 4000 taxa of orchids, 300 tillandsias, 2000 perennials, 350 cultivars of large-flowered irises, 500 rock plants and 4000 trees.
The outdoor exhibitions of the Botanical Garden are free to visit during opening hours. Entrance to the greenhouses is free of charge. There are regular exhibitions of succulents, carnivorous plants, citrus and bonsai. Works of art are displayed in the garden.
The Centre of Medicinal Plants is a special botanical garden of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University focused on non-commercial cultivation of medicinal plants. The garden is intended for professionals and students, but also for the general public. The botanical garden is open all year round for a voluntary admission fee.
