Its owner Zacharias of Hradec had the original Gothic castle turned into a Renaissance mansion in the 16th century. The reconstruction took place in two stages under the direction of Italian masters. It is possible to organize weddings.

We operate a neo-Gothic castle which we have secured and opened to the public. Extensive repairs are still underway. The chateau also includes the chateau park, the former Rudolec brewery, granary, back of house inn, cross road, smithy, orangery, chateau keeper's building, stables and the Vrzalák pond.
