Židlochovice Castle is one of the best preserved hunting castles in Europe and together with the historic pheasantry and deer preserves it creates a unique hunting complex, continuing the centuries-old hunting tradition of this area.

Offering castle tours. The core of the castle consists of a massive rectangular building, surrounded by later additions. Originally a late Gothic water fortress, it was rebuilt and extended in the 16th century in the Renaissance style. Nowadays, the castle is used for exhibition purposes and is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Already at that time, there was probably a Gothic fortress with a manor house, which was lent to the Austrian nobleman Siegfried Sirotek by the Czech King Wenceslas I in 1249. Offering tours of a replica castle ruin. Jan's Castle is part of the Lednice-Valtice area, it was built near a hunting preserve, on a place surrounded on three sides by the river Dyje.
