In 1278, it was acquired by the Bibrštejn family, who contributed significantly to the construction of the castle palace. The current exhibition includes the oldest castle museum in Central Europe, a chapel with valuable furnishings and two castle wings.

We operate a castle. We provide guided tours through the chateau interiors and thematic exhibitions dedicated to Karel Čapek's stay at the local chateau in 1917. The renovated halls are equipped with stylistic, mostly baroque furnishings. There is also a hall with a ceiling painting by Petr Brandl.

The castle was written about in Karolina Světlá's book "About Krejčíkovic Anežka". The ruins of the castle were used for filming the movies About Princess Jasněnka and the Flying Shoemaker and Murder in Our Own Way.
