A classical chateau with a natural landscape park of 21.5 hectares. The chateau park is one of the most valuable romantic landscape designs in the Czech Republic. Guided and self-guided tours are available, weddings can be arranged.

The castle is located in the Plumlovská Dam recreational area. We organize cultural and sports events, tours of the castle, exhibitions, concerts of musical groups, theatre, festivals, demonstrations of historical fencing.

We offer guided tours of the castle with its 96 metre high tower including exhibition displays. We provide rental of the castle park for cultural and social events.

Offering castle tours. Šternberk Castle was founded in the middle of the 13th century by Zdeslav of Chlumec and Šternberk, a member of an old Czech noble family. Originally a defensive medieval residence with a preserved cylindrical tower and the remains of the fortifications of the main palace. Possibility of weddings, concerts and exhibitions.

Castle founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, declared a national cultural monument in 1999. It acquired the appearance of a romantic mansion with battlements, bay windows, loopholes and gargoyles after extensive reconstruction. The fairy tales The Princess Jasněnka and the Flying Shoemaker, The Kingdom of the Streams and Ondřej the Bear were filmed here.

The Chropyně Castle boasts a large collection of weapons in the Knights' Hall, a table set for the King of Haná, Ječmínek, or a beautiful pond near the castle. You can also visit the castle gallery, where interesting exhibitions with an interactive programme for children are held every year.
