The first mention of the castle dates back to 1348, according to archaeological findings, the building stood here as early as the late 13th or early 14th century. Karlštejn Castle, founded in 1348, occupies a very special position among Czech castles. We offer a tour of the Gothic castle, which was built by the Czech king and Roman emperor Charles IV as a place to store royal treasures, especially collections of holy relics and imperial crown jewels.

We take care of the operation of the castle. We organize artistic, entertainment and commercial events, especially wedding ceremonies and receptions. The castle has been the location for the films The Princess of the Mill, The Princess of the Mill 2 and The Illusionist.

The neoclassical castle was built in the first half of the 18th century. The chateau building is part of a baroque complex consisting of the chateau building, an ash yard and a park. In 2005 it was bought by our company, which completely renovated the castle and placed its exposition.

Průhonice Chateau in its present form is the result of a series of reconstructions of the originally medieval Gothic castle, built on a rocky promontory above the Botič stream.
