Many other castles may have more extensive ruins and a richer history, but the certainty that the feared rector of the Hussite wars, Attila of Our Country, resided here, combined with the beautiful nature surrounding the castle, lends a special, awe-inspiring charm to a visit to Kalich.

The two-storey Baroque chateau was built by Hrzany of Harasov probably in the second half of the 17th century.
