The museum is housed in the baroque building of the original Piarist schools, known as the scene of Alois Jirásek's Philosophical History. It offers a modern exhibition on the history of Litomyšl with archaeological excavations in situ, a number of unique objects and a rich children's program. It organizes short-term exhibitions.

We operate a museum with an exposition focused on folk culture and crafts of the Moravian Highlands. We focus on glassmaking, ironwork and the history of the town. Exposition of folk architecture in East Bohemia. Scenes for the films Lotrando and Zubejda, The Seven Ravens and the Circus Humberto series were filmed in the open-air museum. It is possible to organize a wedding ceremony in the Veselokopec chapel, in the world room of the farmhouse or in the area in front of the mill.

On display are the Aero L39C Albatros, the Let Z37A Čmelák, a cutaway model of the MiG-15bisSB, a scale model of the Geran-2 drone, and the Praga PV3S HR; in the summer, additional selected aircraft will be on display, such as the ASW15b glider and the Bölkow Phoebus A.
