The Church of St. John the Baptist is one of the most mysterious places in Bohemia. Bizarre wall paintings from the 14th century. A combination of human and animal bodies, reminiscent of chimeras from the Bestiary rather than depictions of saints. There are also naked women with breasts on their backs, demonic orcs and others. This is a unique world phenomenon.
The listed Evangelical Toleration Complex, consisting of two Evangelical churches and parsonages standing in one small village, is a testament to the special historical events associated with the issuing of the Toleration Patent in 1781 and its failure to be officially proclaimed in a place where the population did not request it themselves.
