The Prácheň Museum has been housed in the historic building of the former royal castle since 1902. The museum represents the cultural and natural heritage of the Prague Region and Písek. The museum also includes a professional library, a museum shop and an accompanying programme of lectures and events for the public.

Operation of a museum with a collection of original skeletons and stuffed exotic animals. The collection contains more than 1,200 exhibits, often complete systematic groups of vertebrates, such as felines, bears, elephants, rhinoceroses, beavers, and an extensive collection of insects and other invertebrates.

We run an exposition of the exotic world of insects, the world under the sea, the world of mountains, savannahs, deserts and the shores of rivers and lakes or the world of forests and seashores.
