The Museum of Central Pootaví Strakonice is located in the grounds of Strakonice Castle, which was founded by the Bavarian family from Strakonice in the first quarter of the 13th century. Since 1995 the castle has been a national cultural monument. The museum offers a number of permanent exhibitions - Order of the Knights of Malta, Czech Armoury, Bagpipes and Bagpipe Traditions.

Operation of the firefighters' museum. Here you will find an exhibition of firefighter helmets, older equipment and also trophies and awards from competitions in firefighting. There are also exhibits not related to firefighting, but connected with Hoštice, for example from director Zdenek Troška and Czech country legend Michal Tučný.

The Prácheň Museum has been housed in the historic building of the former royal castle since 1902. The museum represents the cultural and natural heritage of the Prague Region and Písek. The museum also includes a professional library, a museum shop and an accompanying programme of lectures and events for the public.

We run an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Adolf Heyduk. We exhibit the poet's study, dining room and salon including furniture, library, paintings and small utilitarian objects.

Operation of a museum with a collection of original skeletons and stuffed exotic animals. The collection contains more than 1,200 exhibits, often complete systematic groups of vertebrates, such as felines, bears, elephants, rhinoceroses, beavers, and an extensive collection of insects and other invertebrates.

We run an exposition of the exotic world of insects, the world under the sea, the world of mountains, savannahs, deserts and the shores of rivers and lakes or the world of forests and seashores. We exhibit an interactive map of Protivín, prehistoric and early medieval settlements or samples of urban everyday life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
