The branch has a permanent exhibition The Life and Work of Leoš Janáček, located in the garden house where the composer lived from 1910-28.

The representative Art Nouveau villa was occupied between 1913 and 1939 by the family of Alfred and Marianne Löw-Beer, Greta Tugendhat's parents. Today the villa houses the permanent museum exhibition "Jews in Moravia. Villa and its inhabitants", a freely accessible garden with a gallery and a café.

We offer a permanent display of design and lifestyle from the 1960s to the 1980s, including iconic products such as irons, vacuum cleaners and plastic toys. Our collection illustrates the everyday life and nostalgia of this era.

The Botany Department deals with systematics and phytogeography of higher plants, fungi and bryophytes. It carries out documentation of these systematic groups with emphasis on Central and Southern Europe. The library and herbarium are open to the professional public. The services of the Mushroom Advisory Service are available to the general public.
