Museum Operations.

In the remains of the metallurgical complex there is an exposition of the iron industry of the central part of the Moravian Karst. The ground floor of the building is devoted to the beginnings of iron metallurgy, while the first floor focuses on the blast furnaces and especially the actual building and operation of the smelter. There are also moving models installed here.

We are collecting and creating a collection of items from the years 19581989 for our retro museum. We offer a permanent display of design and lifestyle from the 1960s to the 1980s, including iconic products such as irons, vacuum cleaners and plastic toys. Our collection illustrates the everyday life and nostalgia of this era.

The Botany Department deals with systematics and phytogeography of higher plants, fungi and bryophytes. In the museum's authentic premises you can see individual exhibits related to the Battle of the Three Emperors. The room where the strategic meeting between Emperor Napoleon and his marshals took place is currently a museum with original relics of the Battle.

The museum is engaged in the professional collection of documents and documents that tell about the material and spiritual culture of the Roma from the earliest times to the present. In addition to programmes and workshops, the museum offers guided tours of its permanent exhibition, The Story of the Roma, and lectures for schools.

The representative Art Nouveau villa was occupied between 1913 and 1939 by the family of Alfred and Marianne Löw-Beer, Greta Tugendhat's parents. Today the villa houses the permanent museum exhibition "Jews in Moravia. Villa and its inhabitants", a freely accessible garden with a gallery and a café.
