The exhibition focuses on the childhood of the Čapek siblings, who used to visit their grandparents at the mill. The local environment became an inspiration for them to write a number of fairy tales. In addition to the Čapek siblings, during the tour you will also meet other important personalities connected with Hronov.

We offer a permanent exhibition of the railway museum in the original steam locomotive shed. Museum trains with historical vehicles are also available to the public. We provide the rotunda building of the roundhouse for rent for filming, corporate and social events.

The museum focuses on the history of the production of electric sheet metal trains not only in Police nad Metují, but also throughout Czechoslovakia, Germany, England, France, and the USA.The museum's exhibition features more than 300 historical and modern models of locomotives, carriages, and accessories for model railways.

We operate a town museum, which includes exhibitions of ethnography, the 1775 Peasant Uprising, mining in the Podkrkonoše region and Rtyň music. The expositions include an educational trail through mining monuments.

Tours of the Bohumír Mine. The mine has been in operation since the 19th century. Mining was interrupted several times until it was stopped in 1965. A tour is open to visitors, which leads to the lower floor of the Bohumír mine and to the former engine room.

We operate the Čapek Brothers Museum. The first floor presents publications, correspondence, samples of feuilletons, original drawings from travelogues or family photographs by Karel Čapek, while the second floor displays 20 oil paintings that are a cross-section of Josef Čapek's entire oeuvre.

The town museum in the old town hall on the square in Úpice offers a permanent exhibition on the life of the Čapek family in Úpice, a gallery of paintings by Julia Winter Mezerová, an ethnographic exhibition, a collection of weapons and fragments from Vízmburk Castle. The Municipal Museum also operates the NKP DřeveĚNKA from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries.

In the premises of the former agricultural cooperative, a rural museum was built from the donations of fellow citizens.
