The monumental building from 1898 in the historicist style has been the seat of the Liberec Museum since the beginning, which after a recent reconstruction offers playfulness, interactivity and involvement of the whole family. It is a modern ideal reconstruction of an early medieval noble residence from the 12th and early 13th century. The manor consists of a fortified "nobility" on a hill and an adjacent settlement of craftsmen. Various cultural events and historical fencing battles take place here throughout the year.

We operate a modern visitor centre in a specially protected area for the public. It includes a permanent interactive exhibition about the nature and landscape of the protected area in the interior and exterior. We provide educational and training programs and tourism information.

The museum focuses on the history of the town of Stráž pod Ralskem. The permanent exhibition contains many exhibits on the history but also the present of the town. It is mainly devoted to important natives, mining but also to old photographs. Another collection is also parachutists, who are an integral part of the history of the town.
