We run a town museum where you can learn about the history and life in Železnice. In the permanent exhibitions you can see the works of important native inhabitants of Železnice. The old school building, which dates back to 1799, is the most important monument of Stara Paka. It is a timbered building with a carved gable, which has been preserved in its original form to the present day. It is now a state cultural monument.

A unique baroque monument. We invite you to the video exhibition The Journey of the Waldstein Architects and art exhibitions in the multifunctional Theatron Hall, where you will also find an Infopoint and souvenirs with original linocuts with motifs of the Waldstein Loggia.

In the centre and yet in the silence of the inner courtyard, you will find an interactive private museum in the former burgher's house, dealing with coinage and the personality of Albrecht von Wallenstein. Try stamping your own coin on a replica of the historic mint. The courtyard offers pleasant seating under Jičín's first astronomical clock.

You will visit Rumcajs' household from the time when he was not yet a famous robber but an honest Jičín craftsman. In addition to Rumcajs's shoemaker's shop, you will find Manča's herb garden, Cipisek's zoo, a playroom for children, a souvenir shop and refreshments.
