The Museum of Hlučín is one of the youngest museum institutions in the Czech Republic, but during its short existence it has experienced rapid development and many successes in the field of museology, historical science and education.

Running a museum in the house where the blacksmith Keltička lived, reputedly the discoverer of black coal in Ostrava. The exhibits focus on Kelticka's original craft, i.e. blacksmithing and mining, as well as the tools associated with this profession. Most of the exhibits come from the Ostrava region.
