The museum displays mostly smaller three-dimensional objects from history to the present (uniforms, tools or equipment), with the larger exhibits including a 1924 horse-drawn, combination syringe.

In our museum you can learn about the construction, form and functioning of the Olomouc fortress and about the preserved military objects in the city and its surroundings. There are photographs, military maps, archaeological finds and a plaster model of Olomouc as a fortress. The building of the war powder magazine is unique in the Czech Republic.

A modern exhibition dedicated to people who experienced totalitarianism first-hand. The Holocaust, the battles and domestic resistance of World War II, the communist political trials, the 1968 occupation or, for example, normalisation are presented in an engaging way.
