The former Franciscan monastery in Votice now serves as a museum and gallery. There are permanent exhibitions: the Life of the Franciscans, the Homeland Museum, the Collective Work in Votice, paintings by Vladislav Kaska and Carriages and Dolls. The monastery also hosts seasonal exhibitions, lectures, concerts and other events.

The original fortress of the Lords of Janovice with a beautiful English park with a pond. The neo-Gothic castle is known mainly thanks to Sidonia the Magnificent of Borutín, who gave it its present appearance and distinctive charm. Here you can get acquainted with the culture and personalities of the 19th century or take a peek into the secrets of Czech bell-making.

The Long-String Puppet Museum showcases some of the puppets used by local puppeteers. There’s a children’s corner with a puppet theater for kids. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the themed arts-and-crafts activities. A newly redesigned exhibition will be waiting for you starting in June 2026.

The Kingdom of the Rose - the museum of the Vitkovec family points to a time when the Czech Kingdom was one of the strongest state formations in Europe and when a third of Europe tried to speak Czech. To discover, through the Vítkov family, the pride of the Czech nation, that is what we are trying to do.

In addition to collection management and exhibition activities, the museum also focuses on organizing cultural events, lectures, talks, concerts, film screenings and art workshops for the public. On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the choir, a museum was opened. It is reconstructed from the original box for the historic syringe, which is on display in the museum along with other artifacts after renovation.

A small museum located in a former school building where we find a memorial hall and a historic school classroom. The museum was opened relatively recently in 2003 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the local fire department.
