The museum focuses on artillery, missile and heavy combat equipment. There are tanks, cannons, motorcycles, armoured vehicles, trucks and passenger military vehicles on display. Historically and temporally there are machines from 1890 to the present.
Exposition of the history of the castle, the town and the area. Organizing exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Part of the exposition introduces the development of the natural landscape park in Vlašim. Another part of the exposition introduces the long history of the castle.
Visitors can see an exhibition called With the capital at your back, which presents the path of drinking water from Želivka to our households and a fishing and firefighting exhibition. There are also photographs of Soutice Castle and the family of its last owner, Dr. František Elpla.
The chateau houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the early years of Smetana's work. It also commemorates other composers who were born in the region over the centuries, such as Jan Dismas Zelenka, Josef Leopold Dukát and Josef Suk, or who visited and worked in the region - Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler and others.
The Long-String Puppet Museum showcases some of the puppets used by local puppeteers. There’s a children’s corner with a puppet theater for kids. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the themed arts-and-crafts activities. A newly redesigned exhibition will be waiting for you starting in June 2026.
The former Franciscan monastery in Votice now serves as a museum and gallery. There are permanent exhibitions: the Life of the Franciscans, the Homeland Museum, the Collective Work in Votice, paintings by Vladislav Kaska and Carriages and Dolls. The monastery also hosts seasonal exhibitions, lectures, concerts and other events.
