The Church of St. John the Baptist is one of the most mysterious places in Bohemia. Bizarre wall paintings from the 14th century. A combination of human and animal bodies, reminiscent of chimeras from the Bestiary rather than depictions of saints. There are also naked women with breasts on their backs, demonic orcs and others. This is a unique world phenomenon.

Since 2008, the garden house has housed an exhibition dedicated to the dean of Pelhřimov, František Bernard Vaňek. Vaněk restored and beautified the neglected garden and the garden house, which became the background for his spiritual and journalistic activities.
