We provide exhibitions and lectures. We are dedicated to organizing programs for children and schools, concerts, competitions and accompanying events. Regular visitors can use a loyalty card. A part of the zoological depository with stuffed birds, mammals, fish and amphibians and trophies from hunting expeditions is open to the public.
The museum offers two permanent exhibitions - the studio of the Namesti photographer Ondřej Knoll and Papírník's printing house. You can see old photographic and printing machines from the beginning of the last century, photographs from the old Náměstí and its surroundings and learn about the past of the printing craft.
We run a butchery museum. We offer guided tours about the butchery trade. There are machines and tools used in the past in the production of sausages. Our exhibits include cutters, cues, fridges, bone saws, grinders, crackling presses and axes. We also carry coin cutters, knives and cleavers.
We exhibit original examples of the art of printing from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, books from the famous Prague printers Veleslavín and Melantrich, the first edition of Blagoslav's translation of the New Testament, individual volumes of the Royal Bible and the original of Comenius' famous map of Moravia from 1627, and more.
In the grounds of the national cultural monument Cistercian Abbey Porta Coeli in Předklášteří you will find a museum with permanent exhibitions and short-term exhibitions in the building of the former provost's office. The premises of the monastery church, now the parish church, are open at hourly intervals.
You will find here artistic sculptures inspired by the works of Jules Verne, Karel Zeman and Karel Čapek. Airships, submarines, robots, and many other exhibits up to three meters in size. Coffee to go. For the little ones, a slide, trampoline, and play area. We look forward to your visit.
The importance of the house lies in its connection to the building of the Rear Synagogue. There is a vestry on the ground floor and a kitchen for preparing kosher meals in the back. On the first floor, visitors can see the housing of a poor Jewish family and in the attic there is a lecture hall.
We provide brewery and museum tours with an exhibition of the history of brewing. There are three tours with beer tasting available. We offer a visit to a modern brewhouse, a tour of the medieval lager cellars or a tasting of beers directly from the lager tank.
The exhibition is accompanied by two cartoon characters who once lived in Trebic, the merchant Francesco Calligardi and the chronicler Jan Scuhenius. Together with them, visitors will discover how the basilica was built, how the town was founded and developed, or discover the beauty of old crafts. Entrance to the exhibition is through the TIC Basilica.
