The more modern history of horse breeding in Písek began in 1902, when breeding stallions were placed in the newly built stud farm, but the first mention of a stallion station dates back to 1811. The stud farm in Písek is a unique building and breeding facility, a national cultural monument since 2010.

We operate an open-air museum of old arts and crafts and an experiential open-air museum of the Hussite way of life, culture and warfare. According to legend, a secret exit from the Tabor underground was located here.

The paradise courtyard of the former monastery was reconstructed as part of the renovation of the building in 2019. The paradise courtyard is the venue for a number of cultural events and is open for free in the summer season together with the Ambit Gallery.
