The premises of the house are a place for presentation of world and Czech design and a place for holding events related to topics related to architecture, design, environment.

We offer excerpts from the history of Vodnany. The exhibition includes the František Herites Memorial Hall, the Julius Zeyer Memorial Hall and the Mikoláš Alš Hall. We exhibit works of Czech and regional painters. We organize exhibitions of works by pupils of Vodňany schools.

We run a city museum. You can see our permanent exhibition Fishing Tradition in Vodnany, which deals with fishery, painting, fishing studies and research. There are fish specimens and fishing equipment on display. We hold regular exhibitions of the work of photographers and artists.

Operation of the hall for lectures and events.

The more modern history of horse breeding in Písek began in 1902, when breeding stallions were placed in the newly built stud farm, but the first mention of a stallion station dates back to 1811. The stud farm in Písek is a unique building and breeding facility, a national cultural monument since 2010.

The museum has a permanent exhibition dedicated to nature, history and life of the inhabitants of Šumava. In the section devoted to the Sumava glassmaking, the products of the famous glassworks in Klášterský Mlýn, Annín and Lenora are exhibited. Gold mining and folk culture are recalled. The museum is a branch of the Museum of Sumava Sušice.
