Jurkovič's villa is one of the most important architectural monuments of the turn of the 19th and 20th century in Brno. You can visit the villa during guided tours, which take place every hour.

The Wittal family’s functionalist villa was built in 1932 based on a design by architect Heinrich Blum. Over time, the Wittal family home became the residence of Nazi officers, later of Communist city officials, and eventually an apartment building. The villa is currently awaiting a complete renovation.

This functionalist villa, designed by Ernst Wiesner for the family of textile manufacturer Alfred Stiassni, was completed in 1929 and occupied until 1938. The tour lasts about 50 minutes, capacity is 20 people.

The Arnold Villa is one of the oldest gems among Brno’s villas; its origins date back to 1862, when it was built according to a design by Brno architect Josef Arnold. Colonel Rochepin had the casemates at Špilberk—up to 100 meters long—built in 1742. At that time, the castle was gradually being transformed into a fortress. At first, the casemates served as barracks for soldiers and a food storage facility; after 1783, the spaces were converted into a prison for the most dangerous criminals in the Habsburg Monarchy.

The three-chambered ossuary in the basement of St James's Church was probably built in the 17th century. After filling, the ossuary with the remains of approximately 50,000 dead was closed and eventually forgotten. It was only rediscovered in 2001 as part of the exploration of the Brno underground.
