In 1278, it was acquired by the Bibrštejn family, who contributed significantly to the construction of the castle palace. The operation of a city museum that offers visitors a glimpse into newly renovated spaces that house themed exhibitions dedicated to archaeology, crafts and the city's history. A unique exhibit is the discovery of the foundations of a bread oven, a replica of which is located in the courtyard of the museum.

We operate a mechanical crib with exceptionally well-preserved original mechanics. There is also an exhibition dedicated to the history, reconstruction and restoration of the Frýdlant crib.

There is a music lounge with historical musical instruments and materials documenting the activities of singing societies.

The civic association runs a museum of traditional rural life, crafts and agriculture in the outbuildings of an 18th-century house. We strive to take care of the historical and cultural heritage in the Liberec region and especially in the Frýdlant region. There is a preserved black kitchen in the museum.
