In the museum you will see the life in the Podkrkonoší region of our ancestors - agriculture, individual crafts such as: weaving, butter making, shoemaking, Ponikel ornaments and other glass products, carpentry, beekeeping, brush making, carriage and lace gallery and more. The collection focuses on the skill and artistry of the common people.

During the year you can see exhibitions on various themes in the museum. The current offer can be found on the website. The museum also manages a permanent exhibition of medicine and organises a visit to the Church of St. Peter and Paul with a view of Semily from the church tower from June to September.

The exhibition “Healers of the Pojizeří and Podkrkonoší Regions” features more than thirty notable figures from a broad geographic area, spanning the period from the 18th century to the beginning of the 21st century.

Baroque castle from the 18th century. Visit the ruins of a semi-mountainous castle from the mid-13th century complemented by a village settlement complex from 1602-1900. Our gates are open to you during regular opening hours and in rain-free weather. We offer full haptic tours and guided tours for CHS users.

We operate a gallery of ancient art. It includes a collection of casts of ancient sculptures. The exhibition represents a cross-section of the epochs of the development of ancient art. By prior arrangement we provide guided tours and specialist lectures for universities, otherwise tours are conducted individually.
