Guided tours are available at Sovinec. Cultural events are organised, especially performances by fencing groups, theatre groups and musicians, and traditional crafts are presented.
The six-storey tower was built in 2014. It is reinforced concrete at the core, its shell is made of wood. The viewing platform is 27.5 metres above the ground. It offers a view of the peaks of the Jeseníky Mountains, the town of Bruntál and its surroundings, and possibly the distant Beskydy Mountains and the even more distant High Tatras.
