The museum presents visitors with exhibitions and displays, workshops for children and adults, a park with sculptures and rare trees. The castle was the location of the film The Queen's Game. We also exhibit the studio of Zdenka Braunerová. We organize cultural and social events. We carry out conservation and restoration of monuments.
The park's activities are aimed at the practical verification of medieval working practices and technologies through scientific experimentation. Part of the park is a reconstruction of a medieval farmstead. In the park you can also find a pottery and bread kiln, a weaving workshop, or a pedal lathe for wood.
In the memorial you can visit the memorial area, the Memorial to Children Victims of War, the museum with a multimedia exhibition, the Rose Orchard, the Lidice Gallery with a unique collection of art and the Rose Orchard. We organise cultural and educational programmes, the International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice and short-term thematic exhibitions.
The old sewage treatment plant is an important document of the history of architecture, technology and water management. It was built between 1901 and 1906 and served until 1967. Today it is a national cultural monument and open to the public. Unique are the preserved working steam engines from 1903.
The villa of the architect Otto Rothmayer houses a permanent exhibition The Story of a House and a Family. The exhibition recalls the distinctive style of Otto Rothmayer's architectural work and at the same time seeks to evoke the atmosphere of the living, working and artistic environment that Rothmayer created together with his wife.
The main mission of the centre is to promote modern Prague interwar and post-war architecture, residential culture, applied arts and lifestyle, represented in different ways in the two buildings, in close connection with two important villas - Müller and Rothmayer.
The national cultural monument was designed by architect Adolf Loos and built for the family of František Müller. It houses a study and documentation centre for researchers. The Raumplan space concept was used in the construction. The interior is in the spirit of modern functionalism and classical English style.
The monastery was founded in 993 by Boleslav II and Abbot Vojtech. The original buildings were in Romanesque style. The 11th-century crypt of the church is preserved under the Baroque Basilica of St. Margaret. The Baroque complex was built gradually between 1708 and 1745 according to the project of Christopher and Ignaz Dienzenhofer.
