The memorial was established in 1957 in the grounds of Bran Castle as a reminder of his stay in the Podkrkonoší region before he left for Lešno in Poland. The memorial is a frequent place of visits of teachers, Czech and foreign tourists.

In good weather and during regular opening hours, we offer a tour of the ruins of the rock castle built in the middle of the 13th century as a nobleman's residence. The foundation of the castle dates back to the late Middle Ages, approximately between 1380 and 1390, when Čeněk of Vartemberk took advantage of the natural defensive properties of the basalt rocks.
