The Czech Tourist Club, Department of Mala Haná Velké Opatovice was founded on 1st May 2012. The main events organized every year in February include the international tourist march Opatovské šmajd. Other events include the Halas Kunštát Wandering in October and the Adamovské vyhlídky in March.
