Ensures the performance of state and local government in the field of waste management, air protection, water and forestry. Prepares municipal legislation and proposes environmental protection actions for implementation.

Ensures the maintenance, repair and development of roads in the territory of the city. Maintains a register of drivers and vehicles and provides public transport. Issues driving licences or permits for driving schools and emission measuring stations.

Maintains vital records, arranges for public collections or deeds collections, handles administrative offenses in the conduct of business, and shreds invalid documents. Supervises the keeping of civil registers and receives applications for identity cards and passports.

Management of residential and non-residential premises and real estate assets of the city district.

The Authority issues decisions on the granting of a concession and on the suspension of the trade. Maintains the trade register. Carries out inspections and imposes fines for breaches of obligations or legislation. Supervises compliance with obligations under selected provisions of the Act.

Ensures capital construction carried out by the city mainly in the field of infrastructure, monitors the progress of construction and provides technical supervision. It also manages the tender for the construction contractor, cooperates in the preparation of the budget and keeps records of its spending.

Hears misdemeanors in matters administered by the Office of the Municipality, unless other administrative bodies have jurisdiction. Keeps a central record of all complaints and carries out inspection activities. Adjudicates misdemeanours and administrative offences.

Provides the overall economic agenda of the municipal district.

Prepares the city's proposed budget and its changes during the year, methodically manages the city's accounting, and collects municipal waste fees. Also prepares or arranges for the preparation of tax returns for all types of taxes.

Prepares and implements integrated city development plans, maintains records of grant applications submitted, organizes strategic development conferences, and produces and distributes promotional materials. Analyses national and European documents for the use of subsidies and presents implemented projects.

Providing personnel, training and salary matters in the employment relations of officials and employees of the municipal district.
