The Institute provides teaching of independent study programmes in Geodesy and Cartography and subjects related to Geodesy for civil engineering majors. It also carries out scientific activities and research, consulting and training activities in the field of geodesy and cartography, measurement of displacements and deformations of buildings.

The institute provides compulsory and non-compulsory teaching of foreign languages (English, German, Russian, French) for bachelor, master and combined studies. It also provides language training for PhD students in the above-mentioned languages. The classrooms of the Institute of Languages are fully equipped with multimedia equipment.

The institute provides bachelor, master and doctoral studies in the fields of energy or fluid engineering, thermomechanics and environmental engineering. Courses in thermomechanics and hydromechanics are mandatory for all students of the faculty.

The institute provides teaching in the fields of Construction Realization, Construction Management and Construction Materials Engineering. It is focused on the areas of construction process technology, construction machinery and mechanisation in construction, pre-production and production preparation of construction, planning and management of construction implementation.

The Institute is engaged in aviation education, research and testing of aircraft and aviation technology. The Institute offers two courses in Aircraft Construction and Aircraft Operations. The Institute also offers a three-year professional bachelor's degree in Professional Pilot.

Offer of foreign language courses with possibilities of professional specialization. We provide courses in Russian, German and Spanish. We focus on research in the fields of linguistics and teaching professional English. We use electronic texts, multimedia language classrooms, interactive whiteboards, video and audio programs.

The field of study has applications in the production of synthetic materials, plastics processing, production of compounds and composites. We focus on the development of new ceramic, polymeric or composite materials for applications in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction and medicine.

The laboratory is engaged in research and development activities in the field of engineering and metallurgy.
