The first written mention of Kunštát dates back to 1279, but the discovery of the façade of the late Romanesque castle palace on the site of today's chateau dates back to the mid-13th century. Tours of the Renaissance castle. The castle was built between 1568 and 1581 under Vratislav of Pernštejn. The construction was commissioned by the builders Giovanni Battista Aostalli and Ulrico Aostallis, and the decoration of the castle was mainly done by Italian masters. Tours of the castle. The history of Zvíkovo Castle has been linked to the royal family of the Přemyslids since the beginning. In summer, for example, theatre or swordplay performances take place here. The first step towards the foundation was probably taken by Přemysl Otakar I in 1226.
