The department provides a wide range of activities in the field of blood donor collection, diagnostic and therapeutic care in the field of transfusion medicine and immunohematology. It provides services mainly to the clinical departments of the hospital, general practitioners and specialists.

Operation of internal department. We are engaged in the diagnosis and treatment and diseases in the entire range of internal medicine, especially diseases of the heart and blood vessels, digestive system and liver, diseases of the respiratory system (except tuberculosis), diabetes and its complications.

Operation of a haematology outpatient clinic. We deal with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of haematopoiesis and blood clotting disorders. We run an anticoagulation clinic and a thrombosis and thrombophilic conditions clinic.

Operation of an eye clinic. We provide basic clinical eye examination, slit lamp examination and measurement of intraocular pressure by non-contact and applanation. We provide diagnostic photodocumentation of diseases of the ocular background or various surgical procedures.
