The laboratory performs postnatal cytogenetic testing of chromosomes from peripheral blood when chromosomal defects are suspected, and also investigates the frequency of acquired chromosomal aberrations during long-term exposure to mutagenic factors. In prenatal diagnostics, it performs chromosome examination of amniotic fluid cells.

Inpatient unit providing early and intensive rehabilitation treatment for people with musculoskeletal disorders. The department works closely with the Ict Centre. The patient must be able to cope with an intensive full-day rehabilitation programme with the prospect of improvement.

We operate a general paediatric clinic. We provide check-ups of patients after hospital admission, examination of children admitted to hospital or consilient examinations requested by a doctor from another department, the district paediatrician or the child's parents.

We operate an inpatient ward of a maternity hospital with two delivery rooms and two antenatal rooms with private sanitary facilities. In addition, we have single and double rooms with private bathroom facilities in the six-week ward. We provide antenatal classes for couples and exercise classes for pregnant women.

The National Reference Laboratory for Pathogenic Actinomycetes carries out testing of strains of actinomycetes and nocardia (rare but serious agents of often fatal diseases) sent for verification from other microbiological departments in the Czech Republic.

The outpatient clinic is used for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients with blood diseases, i.e. red or white blood cells, platelets, clotting disorders, lymph node diseases, paraproteinemias (abnormal proteins), etc.

Evoked potentials are investigations in which the electrical responses of the brain are read from the scalp using surface electrodes (similar to an EEG) in response to a specific stimulus.

We operate an inpatient gynaecology department. We hospitalize patients with gynecological diseases. We perform a full range of laparoscopic surgeries including removal of the uterus. We have double rooms with private bathrooms, TV sets and internet access.

Operation of the clinical biochemistry laboratory. The operation is largely automated, which ensures the accuracy and precision of the methods. The control system is three-tier and with international participation.

Neurosonology deals with ultrasound examination of the cerebral arteries. The arteries of the neck (carotid and vertebral arteries) are examined or the arteries of the brain can be examined directly through the bones of the skull using a special technique. The examination is most often indicated after strokes.

The Children's Endocrinology Clinic provides care for patients with endocrine gland diseases, growth disorders and obesity on regular days.

We operate a neonatal unit. We have single and double rooms with en-suite facilities with the option of mother and baby sharing a room. We also have two observation boxes for intensive care of sick babies or babies with maladjustment after birth.
