The first written report dates back to 1263. The village is located at an altitude of 493 metres. We organize regular cultural and sporting events. There is a statue of St. John of Nepomuk, farmsteads and a horse-drawn guard house.

We operate a primary school for 300 pupils with a day care and dining room. We offer teaching English, German, Spanish and Russian. We publish a school magazine. We provide educational counselling. We run art, drama, music, dance clubs and lessons in dodgeball, volleyball, choral singing or floorball.
