The first written report dates back to 1260. The town is situated at an altitude of 458 metres. The historic centre of the town is a town conservation area. There is a primary school, a grammar school, a secondary school, a practical primary school and a vocational secondary school. There is a library, a cinema and a small concert hall in the town.

Primary school for 720 pupils with a day care centre, club and canteen. We organise traffic cycling competitions, fancy dress carnivals, chemistry experiments, sports days, opening and closing ceremonies. We focus on project lessons, school trips, theatre performances and more.

We operate a general eight-year high school.

A society to help people with disabilities and the elderly. Non-profit organization and registered provider of social services. The main activity of the association is the social service Field Care Service.
