The first written report dates back to 1365. The village is located at an altitude of 465 metres. Providing Czech POINT services. In the village there is T.J. Sokol Vranov and the Association of Volunteer Firefighters. We publish a municipal newsletter. We organize cultural and social services.

We run a primary school for 70 pupils. We have a recreation hall with a capacity of 50 places and our own canteen. We try to create a calm and pleasant working atmosphere for the pupils. We are concerned about the general development of the children, so we offer special interest groups such as swimming, religion, ceramics, ball games, dance and drawing.

Parish holds religious services, religious meetings and programs for children and youth.

Men's religious order organizes religious services and spiritual meetings.

We provide sports activities and events for exercisers of all ages.

The micro-region takes care of joint solutions to environmental, tourism, housing and business offers of the associated municipalities.
