The first written report dates back to 1226. The village is located at an altitude of 238 metres. The village is equipped with a kindergarten and a primary school. There is a Catholic church of St. Wenceslas. We publish the quarterly Ledčické novinky. We organize cultural events.

We operate a small primary school with a capacity of 50 pupils with a dining room and a day care centre for 50 children. We offer a ceramics and music-drama club, including zumba, karate, recorder and English language lessons. We organize schools in nature.

The Institute was established to promote the care of cultural heritage, to carry out archaeological research and its promotion, to develop scientific methods and their application, to popularize archaeology and science in general, and to provide and elaborate expert analyses to third parties.
